President's proposed budget plan will kill Empire State housing market
2/26/2009
Albany – February 26, 2009 – Statement from New York State Association of REALTORS President Daniel J. Hartnett: Today New York’s 61,000 REALTORS call on every member of the New York State Congressional Delegation to reject outright President Barack Obama’s proposal to cut back the deductibility of the mortgage interest and state and local taxes. Let me be clear, this single action will kill any chance of a housing recovery in high tax states like New York.
