Manhattan REALTOR Robert Eychner appointed as NYSAR Metropolitan Region vice president
Albany – February 6, 2009 – Robert Eychner of Manhattan took the oath of office Monday, Feb. 2, as the 2009 Metropolitan Region vice president of the New York State Association of REALTORS (NYSAR) during the association’s inauguration ceremony, held in conjunction with its Business Meetings at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino in Verona, NY.
Eychner, a real estate broker for more than 30 years and a REALTOR for more than 10, is the broker/president of Eychner Associates in New York. The Manhattan firm employs 30 professionals with agents fluent in eight languages.
He served as president of the Manhattan Association of REALTORS in 2006, and as the president of the Manhattan MLS in 2007 and 2008. In addition, Eychner serves on the Manhattan MLS Board of Directors.
Eychner is an active member of NYSAR, serving as the 2009 vice chair of the New York City issues review group. In addition, he serves on numerous committees including executive, real estate business services and organizational planning. He is a graduating member of the first-ever Leadership NYSAR, the association’s leadership academy designed to identify and train emerging REALTOR leaders who aspire to get involved with the association, and project a positive influence on it and the industry.
Active in his community, Eychner is a past president of the New York City Council of FIABCI, the world’s largest international real estate organization. He is also a member of the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce.
